Carlos Castellanos: A strategic partner

Carlos Castellanos was the founder of Arcalia, the private banking management division of the Bancaja group, which was later integrated into Bankia after the merger. It has been almost a decade since Castellanos and his close team created their business model with the collective investment manager Egeria, which was born in 2010.

This management company specializing in SICAVS, the only indigenous one in the Valencian Community, had assets under management of more than €200 million in 2017, and that same year launched a new fund, GDP World Corporate Bonds, with the result that it now has a dozen SICAVS and five funds under management.

The first contact between Greene’s founders and Carlos Castellanos was in September 2010, when the partners needed to give the project a greater dimension.

After the first contacts, Carlos Castellanos fell in love with the project, and became part of the company that was formed at the same time, GREENE WASTE TO ENERGY, which would later be called GREENE ENTERPRISE.

In February 2011, Carlos Castellanos, together with Agroinvest, became a shareholder of the project with a capital injection of more than 1 million euros.
